I have 9 years of experience working in different early year’s settings, the majority of these years I had the pleasure of working with children and families of all ages at Penistone Children’s Centre.
I have a 7 year old son of my own, who is my world. We love nothing better than family days out or duvet days in. Having a child of my own gives me a genuine understanding of just how precious your child and their development is. As a practitioner I enjoy watching the children grow, develop and learn.

I became involved with Daisy Chains after joining the local parent and toddler group that Daisy Chains supports to meet other mums – everyone was so welcoming! My eldest son attended Daisy Chains and is now at school. My youngest son started when he was two and found it difficult to settle so they encouraged me to stay with him for a while and the staff were amazing! I wanted to give something back so began volunteering, I loved it so much I decided to do a level 2 childcare course and have now completed my level 3 Early Years Educators qualification. I have also gained my Food Hygiene and Paediatric First Aid to name but a few. The staff are so lovely I am proud to be part of the Daisy Chains Team.
Amber and Amy are students at Barnsley college studying an Early Years L3 Qualification.
All our Staff are trained in safeguarding and Health & Safety and have level 2 in food hygiene, equality and diversity. Training is on going.
All our staff are qualified in paediatric First Aid.
